Many will be surprised by our banner!  It consists of the Pesach (Passover Lamb), the Matzah (Unleavened Bread) the Maror (Bitter Herbs) and the four cups of wine used in the Passover.

Most surprising is probably the “Lamb”.  In this age of cute, fluffy things we often fail to recognise that the Pesach was in fact a one year old “lamb”.  Today, in our Western culture, we tend to think of a lamb as the few weeks old youngsters we see frolicking in our fields at Spring time.

The sheep we have depicted is much closer to the animal the People of Israel were required to sacrifice and eat.  You will note that it has gilded horns  -  this is merely our attempt to convey the regal nature of the Lamb of God who slain for the World.
